Françoise Blin,, President
of EUROCALL
On behalf of the European Association for Computer Assisted Language Learning, I would like to welcome you to the EUROCALL website.
EUROCALL was formally established in 1993 with the support of the European Commission. During the last 20 years, EUROCALL has strived to bring together researchers, developers and practitioners sharing a passion for languages and the use of emerging technologies in language teaching and learning. Our community is committed to the promotion of foreign languages use within Europe and beyond, and provides a European focus for the promulgation of innovative research, development and practice in the area of technology enhanced language learning.
As we are preparing to celebrate our 20th anniversary, it is time to reflect on our achievements to date, to revisit our aims, to identify new trends in the use of technology in language teaching and learning, to consolidate our relationship with sister organisations, and much more. The EUROCALL Executive Committee has recently launched a number of initiatives to bring our association forward, including a total revamp of our website, and we are committed to meet your needs, whether you are an experienced or new researcher, a developer, or a practitioner. However, this is your association, and we need you! Do get involved, express your views and launch discussions via our social networks, take part in our conferences and SIG events, submit articles to our journal, ReCALL, and to the EUROCALL Review.
I look forward to meeting you, at our annual conference, SIG events, or via our online spaces.
