EUROCALL 2008 Virtual Strand

After the success of EuroCALL's Virtual Strand in 2007, a virtual extension to the EuroCALL conference will be offered in 2008! Both virtual and on-site EuroCALL delegates are invited to take part in the Virtual Strand's programme this year. The programme will include activities such as blogging the conference, participating in online pre-conference workshops and chatting with some of the plenary speakers.

Who is it for?

You can join the Virtual Strand if you're:

- unable to attend the conference in person
- in Székesfehérvár, but also want to take part in the Virtual Strand.

What does it offer?

A virtual conference space including:

- streamed plenary presentations live from the conference
- podcast presentations
- an audio-conferencing presentation area with shared whiteboard and presentations
- real time chat area using Lively (chat with the plenary speakers and socially)
- discussion forum
- interactive conference blog
- online pre-conference workshops

Please note:
The plenary presentations and podcast presentations will be available from the conference website during the conference only. After this time, they will be available from a restricted website available solely to EuroCALL members.

What does it cost?

The Virtual Strand and its pre-conference workshop are free to both on- and offsite delegates.
