EUROCALL Research Award 2001

The EUROCALL Research Award for 2001 was awarded to

Joan-Tomàs Pujolà of the Departament de Didàctica de la Llengua i la Literatura, Universitat de Barcelona, Spain

for his article entitled:

"CALLing for Help: researching language learning strategies using help facilities in a web-based multimedia program."

This article will be published in a forthcoming issue of ReCALL. The winner of the award also receives a year's free membership of EUROCALL and free registration at the next EUROCALL conference.

There were two runners-up for the award, both of whose articles will be published in ReCALL. These are:

Juan Francisco Coll of the Universitat Jaume I, Castelló, Spain
Monica Ward of Dublin City University, Ireland.
